Description
It is recommended to always use the follower plate, and is imperative that the ambient temperature is low when high viscosity grease is used. Due to the depression created by the pump, the plate is attracted towards the bottom of the drum by atmospheric pressure. It pushes the grease into the pump and avoids air cavities, as well as it removes the grease remaining on the walls down to the bottom of the drums.
